Journey / Biography

From Madras to the world

Born in Chennai, Balaji began his career in Tamil theatre before transitioning to film in the early 2000s. His breakthrough came with "Nizhalgal" (2003), where his portrayal of a troubled artist earned critical acclaim.

Over two decades, he has worked in over 40 films across Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema—as actor, dialogue coach, and associate director. Parallelly, he developed the BRAHMA method, a rigorous training system now adopted by acting schools in three countries.

Today, he splits time between Mumbai and Chennai, mentoring the next generation while continuing to act in selective projects.
